K9Will’s mission
To enhance and improve both dog and owner’s relationship through holistic dog training using balanced modern techniques in a professional safe manner.
Training Method
William is a balanced trainer with heavy emphasis on positive reinforcement, which is a reward based system. Will also uses light line pressure and correction / interruption to get their attention when fixated on distractions so the dog maybe redirected into better behavior.
There is no domination, they are conditioned for voice cues and line pressure. The goal is reliability in all situations.
All dogs are treated with respect and integrity with their best interests at heart.
William Robinson
William started working professionally with dogs in 2005 and has worked with over 8,000 dogs to date, in all breeds and temperaments.
William’s experience began at the Toronto Humane Society in the K9 service department where he walked, assessed, and matched dogs to potential adopters.
In 2008 Will received a certificate in Animal Cruelty Investigation from the SPCA where he worked as an agent for the Toronto humane society for two years among his other duties.
At the same time Will received his certification in dog training from Gemini K9, where he learnt modern training techniques and how to teach handlers to train their dogs.
One year later he was promoted to Shelter Supervisor where he oversaw day to day operations and care of over 1200 animals per day.
After relocating to Greater Napanee in 2010, “K9Will” was born. Will began offering dog training and boarding services to Napanee and surrouding areas through the local pet store Pet Panache. Many clients travel from hours away such as Belleville, Picton, Toronto, and Ottawa to learn from William.
William has now trained thousands of clients how to communicate better with their dogs.
